DOMES
My First Dome
With a lifelong interest in building, domes were bound to catch my eye at some stage. While
reading about geometrical patterns, I realised it was possible to make a shape in my garden that
I could experiment with. With every step, it became more interesting. Simpler than I thought
but more grand than I could ever imagine. Connecting one triangle to another was fueling my
imagination. With hexagons and pentagons assembled around the workshop, I was beginning to
feel an energy that only made me more curious. I had to complete this project to find out what
this project was trying to tell me. I didn’t understand what I was doing yet I couldn’t stop. The
sense that I was building a device was becoming more clear. I knew it was the ideal sound studio
from reading about it. After I had completed it, it was clear that I had just constructed a
communication, healing device. From here my dome journey begins.

Chicken Domes
We had to get chickens and so we needed to enclose a safe space for them. The least amount
of material and the soundest structure was a dome. With the help of Build With Hubs, this
project was straight forward and enjoyable.
